My name is David Meyer, and I am a Cloud and Big Data Principal Consultant with where I spend most of my time focusing on helping customers realize what Cloud technologies can mean for their business and how they can take advantage of Big Data, and transform their business with additional revenue streams. Though I was born in the midwest and live in Florida (where I work), my heart is in the San Francisco area and Silicon Valley.
In my nearly twenty year in Information Technology I have worked for companies such as Symantec, Computer Associates and Dell, as well as owning my own consulting practice and working for three value added resellers. I have worked professionally in Linux and Open Source Solutions as well as Data Storage and Disaster Recovery. While many don’t like their jobs, I am tremendously blessed to enjoy not only what I do, but the company that I represent.
One thing that I really like about what I do is that not only do I travel all over for business and experience new and exciting cultures but I get to work with people from all over the world with different beliefs and ideas. I believe that when we have the chance to close the gap and make the world a smaller place that we then, and ONLY then, really make a step toward making peace, understanding and tolerance a reality.
