On Veterans Day

Signing up…again, at the Punchbowl National Cemetery in Hawaii. One of the most moving days of my life.

Today is one of those days that I want to set aside work, politics, diet (sorry babygirl) and everything else and focus on what today is…Veterans Day. It is special to me because, well, being a Veteran you have a better idea of the cost of freedom. Memorial Day remembers all of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. That day should always be reserved for them and them alone. Today, Veterans Day, is when we remember those who were ready to give it all, but thankfully did not have to. Many of us carry scars from our service, and many do not. But to all those of you who served, thank you.
